Lavender Daze At Bees N Blooms

Bees N Blooms offers an opportunity to enjoy a breath of fresh air outside at their beautiful lavender farm in Santa Rosa. With July being one of the months that their purple lavender blooms most radiantly, there is no better time to enjoy a refreshing day outdoors at the farm. You can take an idyllic walk through the lavender labyrinth, past the chickens, ducks and geese, and underneath the arced flower rows — all ideal spots for a summertime selfie. Soak up the beautiful panoramic views by bringing your own picnic and relaxing for a while while the bees stay busy with work. The farm grounds and stand are open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Keep in mind that reservations are required, so be sure to plan ahead!

Cloverdale Friday Night Live @ the Plaza

Looking for something to spice up your weekend? Head to Cloverdale for Friday Night Live at the Plaza, their summer concert series running all the way through October 1st. The event is free, making it a great addition to any date night or friend outing with a variety of musician performances, food from exciting vendors and local restaurants, and craft beers and wines available. There are also numerous kid-friendly activities, making it a great option for the whole family. The music starts around 6:30 pm but be sure to come earlier to enjoy a stroll through all the street fair vendors offering locally made products.

Rodney Strong Vineyards’ Red, White & BBQ with KINSmoke

What better way to start celebrating this Independence Day than with local wine and BBQ? That’s right — come to Rodney Strong Vineyards in Healdsburg on the 4th of July and you’ll be treated to an amazing array of BBQ from the local favorite, KINSmoke. They are going to be cooking up everything from brisket and ribs to burgers and salads, with plenty of side selections to please even the pickiest of BBQ eaters. There will even be live music to get the celebrations rocking alongside the wine and BBQ!

Sonoma’s Hometown Fourth of July

Interested in enjoying a more laid-back firework experience? Stay at home this year and still enjoy Sonoma’s Independence Day firework show put on by the Sonoma Volunteer Firefighters Association. In consideration of public health and safety, the team has taken many additional safety measures to prevent potential wildfire and has updated the show to include a higher aerial display to discourage crowds from gathering. After a rough fire season in California and the COVID-19 pandemic, Sonoma’s local firefighters are proud and excited to safely celebrate the 4th of July with the community — whether from their own homes or at a safe distance. The display will begin at dusk and last for an estimated 45 minutes. Please note that there will be no parade or plaza celebrations this year.

Dahlia Farm Sign Painting Event

Want to get in touch with your inner flower child artist? Enjoy a beautiful day outside at The Happy Dahlia Farm in Petaluma, where you can paint a unique flower sign, based on one of their designs or an inspired one of your own. You will enjoy this artistic experience in a picturesque setting in the farm’s Dahlia field around sunset time — and are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy! You can also create your own dahlia bouquet to take home if you are interested in floral arrangements.

Sonoma County Fair

Want to enjoy a pure summer day? Join your local community at the Sonoma County Fair for the Summer Fun Fest, boasting everything from arts and crafts, classic fair food, carnival rides, and so much more. Keep in mind that the fair will have limited capacity, starting on July 28th and running through August 8th, so be sure to plan ahead (and take advantage of the early purchase discounts). Make sure you don’t miss all the fairground fun, including horse racing, ag events, concerts, and special events like Monster Trucks and the PRCA Rodeo! This is one local event that is sure to liven up your summer. It will be held at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds in Santa Rosa.

We at Annadel Builders, Inc. love the rich cultural and culinary offerings that bring out the best of our local community — especially in the summer. We hope you are able to take advantage of some of these exciting events this July in Sonoma County!
